Jocie Coletti is Interim Director of Career Services and Director of Development and Alumni Relations at New England Law.
Since graduating in 2005, Jocie has served as a liaison between alumni and students. She began her career in the admissions office before taking on a leadership role as director of special events. In that capacity, Jocie developed programs to expand New England Law’s connections to the greater Boston legal community. During her time as director of special events, Jocie produced large-scale programs including prestigious Law Day events in which Supreme Court Justices, politicians, and business leaders served as keynotes.
In 2013, Jocie moved to the Career Services Office where in addition to her student portfolio she ran the pro bono program. In 2017, she stepped into her current role as director of development and alumni relations. Jocie is responsible for the New England Law mentoring program, fundraising, and alumni reunions. She is passionate about connecting alumni with students and carrying on the New England Law tradition of giving back. Jocie received her JD from New England Law and her Bachelor of Arts from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Larissa Brewster, Esq., Associate Director of Career Services
Larissa Brewster works with current students to help them navigate the employment process by counseling students, assisting with résumé and cover letter reviews, and conducting mock interviews. She also serves as recruitment coordinator, by helping employers with on-campus interviews, résumé collections, and job postings for New England Law students and alumni.
Larissa previously worked as an account executive for Robert Half Legal, building and maintaining relationships with hiring managers in the legal field and assisting job-seekers. While in law school she clerked at a general practice firm in Boston, and as a certified student attorney, Larissa appeared in court in trials, and conducted adoptions, guardianship hearings, and bail requests with the Department of Children and Families and the Barnstable County District Attorney’s Office. She received a BS in marketing, an MBA in management from Bentley University, and a JD from Suffolk University Law School.
Peter Towne, Esq., Assistant Director and Pro Bono Coordinator
Peter Towne works with current students to help counsel them on career development and prepare them for the employment process through counseling, assisting with résumé and cover letter reviews, and conducting mock interviews. He focuses on helping students develop comprehensive job search strategies for both traditional and alternative legal positions, depending on their interests and experience. Peter also assists students with their pro bono work.
Peter began his legal career in private practice, specializing in tort litigation, workers’ compensation, and social security disability at Iannella & Mummolo in Boston. Eventually, he expanded his areas of expertise to include medical malpractice and products liability at Swartz & Swartz, P.C. Peter also worked in compliance and predictive analytics at ISO Claims Partners.
Peter is a proud New England Law alumnus and has always sought out opportunities to advise and mentor students since graduating in 2009. He participated in multiple clinics while in school and was a research assistant for the Bar Exam Preparation Services during and after his 3L year. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from Indiana University in 2004.
Stephanie Black advises New England Law students and alumni on all aspects of their career development. Stephanie is a graduate of Rhodes College and Washington and Lee University School of Law. While in law school, Stephanie was a law clerk for the U.S. Marshals Service’s Office of General Counsel; a rule of law intern for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs; and a summer law clerk for the Honorable William Stiehl of the Southern District of Illinois.
After law school, Stephanie clerked for the Honorable Brett W. Wilson of the Circuit Court of Dorchester County, Maryland. Thereafter, Stephanie was an attorney advisor for the Social Security Administration, having worked at both the Appeals Council in Washington D.C. and at the Orland Park Hearing Office.
Anna DeVitto joined New England Law in August 2020 as the Coordinator for the Career Services Office. In this role she provides support to students and staff in a variety of ways including setting up advising appointments, compiling reference materials on employers in all practice areas, and coordinating special events.
Before coming to New England Law, Anna worked for Harvard University serving as a Recreation and Athletic Administration Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Department. While at Harvard, Anna coordinated and oversaw scheduling and logistics for 58 club and 35 intramural programs. She also assisted the Director of Student-Athlete Development to help implement programs and events for Harvard’s Student-Athletes.
Anna received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Stonehill College in May of 2019. While at Stonehill, she was a member of their Women’s Track and Field team and interned for both Stonehill’s Athletic Department and Harvard’s Athletic Department. Currently Anna is enrolled at Northeastern University working on her Master’s Degree in Sport Leadership.
